GGC plays a crucial role in supporting both the public and private sectors in their healthcare initiatives. For the public sector, we offer technical support to government and development partners in selecting a private partner for providing healthcare services to government patients. Similarly, we provide invaluable technical support to service providers in the private sector, helping them develop and successfully submit their technical and financial proposals against a given bid. Our role is to facilitate successful partnerships, ensuring that all parties involved can benefit from our expertise.
For IFC (part of the World Bank Group), we are providing technical support in assessing the existing radio-imaging facilities in medical college hospitals and regional hospitals in Ghana. Further, we will guide facilities that need to be developed as brownfield or greenfield and accordingly develop a financial model to measure the CAPEX and OPEX, fiscal impact, affordability and viability of the project, public sector comparator, risk assessment, and PPP transaction structuring (Year 2023-Ongoing).
For Concept Realisation Management Consultancy (“CR”), our key partner based out of Dubai and its client Lamar Holdings and Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Limited, we worked on due diligence of their technical proposal to be submitted for a Radiology PPP project in Saudi Arabia. We evaluated in detail the demand for all kinds of radiology services: X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, fluoroscopy, bone densitometry, CT scan, MRI scan, nuclear medicine, and intervention radiology, in Riyadh province (Riyadh, Al Dawadmi, Al Zulfi, Al Artawiyah, and Al Majamah). CR took the lead in evaluating the financial proposal, cost inputs and structures, and overall risks in the project and advised on the bid submission process. (Year 2022).
For CR and its client IFC Advisory (part of the World Bank Group), we provided technical support in assessing the supply and demand, defining the clinical profile, and IT needs assessment to establish two district hospitals in Romania (Timisoara and Ploiesti) using the Infrastructure PPP modality. We also contributed to the preparation of the concept note. (Year 2022).
For CR and its client, the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Health in the Sultanate of Oman, we have been appointed as a lead healthcare planner to establish Renal Dialysis Centres using the PPP modality. The project scope sub-contracted to us includes detailed epidemiological analysis of chronic kidney disease in the three Governorates (Muscat, Al Batinah South, and Al Dakhliyah), conducting regression modelling to project the number of End-stage renal disease patients in the next 10 years and thereby demand renal replacement therapies (Haemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis services, and kidney transplant). We also conducted the GIS mapping of the projected demand to locate the areas with the maximum diseased population and identify the location of the dialysis centres that can provide the services to the patients within a 30-minute travel time. Our scope also includes planning a transition phase that shows how the patients would be sent to different centres until the private provider takes the complete handover of the existing centres. (Year 2021-23).
For CR and its client, the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Health in the Sultanate of Oman, we have been appointed as a lead healthcare planner for developing a Drug Rehabilitation Center in Sohar using the PPP modality. The project scope for us includes a detailed needs assessment for drug rehabilitation services, estimating the relapse rate of patients for detox and rehabilitation services, and estimating the gap in the availability of detox and rehabilitation beds in the catchment area of the Sohar facility. (Year 2021-ongoing).
For CR and its client IFC Advisory (part of the World Bank Group), we provided technical support for undertaking the regional hospital plan analysis, supply and demand assessment, defining the clinical profile, IT needs assessment and preparing the concept note for a multi-speciality hospital in Uzbekistan using the Infrastructure PPP modality.
